“The Vietnam Veterans of Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines is now a 501 (c) (19) Veterans’, Tax-exempt organization and a committee has been formed to spearhead the Monument project. The fund raising goal is $50,000! So far veterans of Hotel Company and others have pledged over $40,000 in support of the effort. The next steps are to collect the pledges and continue to contact the veterans of Hotel Company to enlist their contribution to support the project. If you have not received a call asking for your support of the project, you will in the near future.

Your contribution will be acknowledged with a thank you letter. The letter will also include information to claim your contribution as tax deductible.

When sufficient money has been collected, a vendor will be contracted to design and sculpt the monument. In March, a “draft” picture of the monument will be available. This picture will be posted on the web site. In June, a Project status report will be mailed to all Hotel Company veterans. Thank you for your commitment to making the Monument Project a reality.
